The Gospel of Mark Alive

Performance by The Reverend Bert Marshall, a Master Storyteller

The Reverend Bert Marshall graduated from Yale Divinity School, New Haven, CT, earning the esteemed “Public Recitation of Scripture” award. He committed the Gospel of Mark to memory while on a 3-month sabbatical in Nova Scotia in 2003. He has performed the Gospel of Mark for countless audiences who say his storytelling performance causes the flat, printed words of Mark to literally leap off the page of the bible with fresh life. On Sunday, March 11, the Gospel of Mark Alive will be performed at 10:00AM in worship by Bert. While at first this was being arranged for the Confirmation Class, it quickly became something the adults were interested to experience as well. We are so pleased to welcome the Reverend Bert Marshall to Christ Church United to share this unique and meaningful storytelling performance. A light luncheon of soup and bread with Reverend Marshall will follow in Fellowship Hall. Childcare will be provided.
