Victorian Valentines For Modern Times: Valentine Making Workshop

Library, Saturday, February 3, 2018, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

During the time of Queen Victoria, the giving of handmade valentines to loved ones was very popular. These handmade tokens of affection were made of paper and decorated with flowers, ribbon, doilies, glitter, lace, and other materials. Rita Parisi provides the traditional materials as well as instruction, so that every participant can make their own Victorian-style valentine. This is a family program, appropriate for children in Grades 1 and up, with their caregivers. This program is limited to 25 participants and registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Friends of Dracut Library.
