Obituary: Armand M. Landry, 75
DRACUT- Armand M. Landry, 75, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital, with his daughter by his side. He was the beloved husband of J. Rita Landry, to whom he was married for 48 years and will now join forever.
Armand was born in Lowell, MA on January 26, 1945, a son of the late Rose Mary (Bussiere) and Joseph Landry. He was educated in Lowell and a graduate of Lowell Trade School.
Armand had many roles throughout his years with the Parker company, first in Waltham and then at Fort Devens, MA. From aircraft pump assembly to maintenance to machining, he was an indispensable part of the organization for 45 years and worked with some great people, many of whom became important friends.
Armand was a special man. Always busy as hell, he spent his life being the best husband and father he could, providing his wife and family with an amazing life. In that time, he raised four children—three sons and one daughter—who have families and great lives of their own.
Armand spent most all of his free time with family. From just spending time in his garage and working on cars and home projects with his children to playing cards and vacationing with, well, everyone, he was always up for spending time together. Alongside my mother—to whom he was incomparably devoted—he created decades of memories through a myriad of trips and activities. Together, they took trains, planes, boats, and automobiles around the world, always seeking the next laugh. His children will forever remember his work ethic and dedication to providing them with the best lives he could and the memories along the way.
Armand is survived and will be deeply missed by his 4 children, Brian V. Landry and his wife Kristina of Hudson, NH; Douglas S. Landry and his wife Jennifer of Merrimack, NH; Tracy L. Lewis and her husband Jay of Hanahan, SC; and Shawn M. Landry and his wife Megan of Merrimack, NH; 1 brother, Alfred Landry and his Wife Joyce of Tyngsboro, MA; 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Benjamin, Jacob, Jordan, Bryce, Tucker, and Bailey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
