Roger Daigle, longtime producer and host of the DATV show "Inside Dracut Politics", has passed away.
The announcement was made Thursday, on the DATV Facebook page.
Known for his straightforward, brutally candid and often cynical opinions, Daigle was a DATV icon, rarely missing a taping of his show, even into his 90s. In recent months, due to health issues, DATV taped episodes of he show from his home.
In September, Studio B at the new home of Dracut Access Television was dedicated as the "Roger Daigle Studio."

Here is the complete DATV announcement:

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Roger Daigle who was the long-time Producer/Host of the program series "Inside Dracut Politics" that was cablecast on DATV channel 8.

Despite being in his 90's and dealing with health issues, Roger rarely managed to miss recording a new episode every other week! Although Roger was unable to make the trip to record in our studios over the past several months like he had done for some many years, that didn't stop him as our cameras went to his home.

Roger was always well-prepared for every program and would often only scratch the surface of what he wanted to cover. We will miss the fire and passion that Roger instilled into his show.

When we recently built out and moved into our new Television & Media Center facility our Board of Directors felt it fitting to name our Studio-B after Roger in recognition of his dedication to producing content to educate the town of Dracut for so many years.

The entire DATV Staff and Board of Directors wish to express our deepest sympathies to Roger's family during this difficult time..
