George A. Lambert, of Lowell, passed away November 19, 2019 at the age of 86.

Born in Lowell on July 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph Arthur and Mary Elsie (LaPorte) Lambert.  He was the brother of the late Evelyn Laurencelle of Dracut, the late Gerald Lambert and the late Renee Lambert of Lowell. He graduated from Lowell Trade School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked for many years as a roofing and siding contractor with his father, and later as a hatchery worker for Cobb Inc., and security guard with United Security Services until his retirement.

George enjoyed gardening, tinkering with engines, and visiting old friends in the area.  For several years he hosted a popular flea market on his lawn across from the Vandenberg Esplanade on the Merrimack River. Those who knew him enjoyed his conversation and wry sense of humor.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews and their spouses: Janet Dube of Dracut, Marie and Robert Pinard of Dracut, Diane and Raymond Berton of Dracut, Denise Barbin of Dracut, Raymond and Elaine Laurencelle of Tyngsboro, David and Janet Laurencelle of Lowell; Susan and Scott Malette of Hudson, NH.
