NEWTON, MA -- Students from Lasell College participated in the Annual Spring Connected Learning Symposium on April 23. Participants included:
- Dylan Alves of Tewksbury (01876), who gave a presentation, "Light It Up!" in conjunction with their course on flat pattern design.
- Brittany Rose of Dracut (01826), who gave a presentation, "Marketing Plan for Renaissance Seaport Hotel," as part of her work in a hospitality marketing directed study course.
- Evan Andrews of Tewksbury (01876), who was part of a core-scholars exploration of student views on diversity and inclusion.
The Connected Learning Symposium at Lasell College began in 2002, though the institution's academic and professional approach to Connected Learning began long before. Symposium is an opportunity for students to showcase industry-informed work with professional clients and organizations.
"This spring's symposium was extraordinary," said Jim Ostrow, provost and professor of sociology.
The event took place on April 23, with additional symposium presentations throughout the week. Those included the annual Senior Runway Show, Education and Health Sciences presentations, Writing Awards, and performances.
