On Wednesday, June 19, Lawrence General Hospital held a special reception for area physicians and health care leaders to celebrate the launch of its new Heart and Vascular Center. Hosted by Lawrence General president and CEO Dianne Anderson, RN, the private event was held at the Lanam Club in Andover.
The Lawrence General Heart and Vascular Center is a unique program that combines the expertise of three medical specialties—cardiology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology—to screen, proactively diagnose, and treat at-risk patients. These experts work together to ensure that patients with issues related to the circulatory system are monitored and treated in a coordinated way, in collaboration with a primary care physician. The Heart and Vascular Center offers clinics in Andover (323 Lowell Street) and Lawrence (25 Marston Street) that provide full circulatory assessments.
In addition to Lawrence General president and CEO Dianne Anderson, RN, additional speakers at the reception included Robert Gilbert, Esq., chair, Lawrence General Board of Trustees, and all four medical directors from the new Heart and Vascular Center.
