Dracut Boys Lacrosse Stomps Haverhill To Claim Tournament Berth

The Dracut High boys lacrosse team is heading back to the State Tournament. But this time the Middies won't be sneaking in the side, they will be kicking down the front door.
Dracut improved to 9-3 on the season with a 15-5 rout over Haverhill on Senior Night.
The Middies, who finished the regular season 10-10 a year ago, settled matters early against the Hillies, jumping out an early 5-1 lead and cruising from there.
Seniors Kyle Durkin, Kyle McManus, Allyn French, Jared O'Connell, Justin Bettencourt and Noah Tierney-Honan all had big games in the win.
The win comes on the heals of one of Dracut's strongest performances of the season, which came in a 9-7 loss last week to MVC Large powerhouse North Andover.
Kyle Silva paced the Middies' attack with three goals. French added a pair of tallies and an assist, while Max Kelley chipped in with a goal and two assists. Dante Bossetti also scored.
Goalie Calvin Desmarais, played a strong game against a relentless attack by the Knights, making 14 saves.
