Fifteen of Dracut's top athletes, ages 24-63, will gather in Hopkinton, Monday morning, to take part in one of the America's greatest traditions.
The 123rd running of the Boston Marathon will feature 10s of thousands of runners, both official entrants and unofficial participants.
Like the vast majority of the participants, the Dracut runners won't be competing  on Patriots' Day for the famed laurel wreaths. However, many are running for a much higher purpose -- raising money for charities doing amazing work for those in most need.
Here are just a few examples:
Kim Chadwell will be one of 48 runners competing for Tedy's Team, the organization founded by Patriots' legend Tedy Bruschi to "raise life-saving funds and awareness in the fight against stroke."
As always, the Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation will be well-represented at the Marathon, with nine runners. They are Justin George, of Dracut, Tobie Garas, Dr. Lawrence Garcia, Megan Park, Phil Coddaire, Dan Shannahan, Tina Dufresne, Kevin Lacoste and Andrea Walsh.
Below is the complete list of Dracut residents participating in the Boston Marathon, along with their bib numbers. Click here to follow the progress of your favorite runners.
