Dracut High Cheerleaders Claim State, New England Championships To End Season

Mar 19, 2019 05:38AM ● By Bill Gilman
The remarkable dynasty that is the Dracut High School Cheerleading program added two more trophies to their case this month.
The Middies wrapped up their 2018-19 winter season by claiming the MSAA Division 3 State Championship on March 10. It was the team's 14th State Championship!
And as has been its habit, Dracut's score of 214.50 was the top score for any team in any division.
But the Middies weren't close to done.
On March 16, the team invaded Worcester State University for the New England Championships. Dracut claimed the Division 3 New England Title with a score of 209.40, edging out Fairhaven (Conn.) HS, which scored a 205.9.
This time the Middies finished with the second best score of the day in any division, behind only Division 1 Pinkerton Academy of Derry, NH. (212.6).
Congratulations to the team on another exceptional season!
