GoFundMe: You Can Help This Dracut Teen Get The Wheelchair Accessible Van He Needs

Feb 27, 2019 09:12AM ● By Bill Gilman
There is a Dracut family in need and you have a chance to help.
Matthew is 16, attends Dracut High, and his family is in need of a wheelchair-accessible van.
Matthew's aunt, Joanne Dussault Blanchette, has started a GoFundMe Page to help raise the funds.
Unfortunately, as of Feb. 26, only $3,120 of the $10,000 goal had been reached.
Here is Joanne's story from the GoFundMe Page:
Hi My name is Joanne and I am raising money to get a wheelchair accessible van for my Nephew Matthew.  Matthew lives in Dracut, Massachusetts with his Mom and sister Megan.  He attends Dracut High School and is a happy 16 year old with Mitochondrial Disease.  Matthew loves to go out and spend time with his caretaker after school.  With his amazing personality and contagious smile, he makes friends everywhere he goes.  Matthew cannot walk, talk or sit up on his own.  He is wheelchair bound and requires a feeding tube for his nutrition and hydration.
A wheelchair van is a necessity and the cost is too much for his family so we are asking for help from friends, family and local businesses.  Anyone in the community willing to help Matthew would provide relief to the family.  Every little bit helps, and all funds raised will go towards the purchase of the van.

If you can help out this outstanding cause, click here and make a contribution of any size. It will all go to help Matthew get the van he needs.
