Obituary: Rita Lucienne (Frechette) Montbleau, 92

It is with love and great sadness that we share with you, that Rita Lucienne (Frechette) Montbleau, aged 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 12th at St Joseph Hospital in Nashua NH. Rita was a long- time resident of Dracut MA and of Pelham NH. She was the beloved wife of Armand J Montbleau who predeceased her in 2014, after 68 years of marriage.

Rita was the heart and soul of the Montbleau family, a treasure. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, she touched everyone’s lives and hearts with her unconditional love and support, her playful sense of humor and deep faith. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind such beautiful memories.

Rita was the daughter of the late Louis and Odelie Frechette, who were French Canadian immigrants. Raised in Lowell MA, she grew up in a wonderful tight-knit loving family. She is predeceased by her two brothers Edward and Ernest and two sisters Therese Lajeunesse and Jeanette Belleville.

During her life, Rita’s greatest joy was her family and all family gatherings. She enjoyed many activities and travels with her family and many friends. She also enjoyed spending her most recent years in assisted living residence where she actively participated in social events and was loved by all. She was a beautiful elegant lady with a sparking personality and a big heart.

Rita is survived and will be deeply missed by her three sons and daughter: Roger Montbleau and fiancée Charity Landry of Pelham NH., Carol Gamble and husband Alan Gamble of Newburyport, Ron Montbleau and wife Philly of Solana Beach, CA. , Dennis Montbleau and wife Eileen of Pelham, NH., her adoring grandchildren Zachary Farrar (Heather) Nathan Farrar (Brooke), Kara Montbleau, Ryan Montbleau, Paul-Luc Montbleau, Juliette Montbleau and Alexa Montbleau, great grandchildren Asher Farrar, Ari Farrar and Wynn Farrar. Rita loved and is survived by her extended grandchildren Cyran, Cloverlyn and Cashlyn Landry, as well as Lauren and Colleen Mitchell and Philly’s daughter Kelsey. She also leaves behind her special friend and caretaker of six years, Linda St Pierre and her loving second family, the Mitchells of Pelham.

ARRANGEMENTS:Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday January 19th from 9-10:15 AM at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut, MA. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St Patricks Church, 12 Main St., Pelham NH followed by burial at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham NH.
