Dracut Woman At Castleton Named NEHC Player Of The Week
CASTLETON, VT -- Courtney Gauthier of the Castleton University women's ice hockey team was named New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 6.
Gauthier was everywhere on the ice for the Spartans this weekend during the WSYB/Catamount Radio Invitational, factoring into every goal scored. She posted a goal and dished out three assists in two games.
On Saturday against SUNY Canton, Gauthier opened the goal scoring for Castleton with a power-play tally in the first. She then followed with two assists as Castleton came from behind to tie SUNY Canton before falling in overtime.
In the WSYB/Catamount Radio Invite Consolation Contest on Sunday, the Tampa, Fla. native assisted on the Spartans' only goal in a 2-1 loss to Manhattanville College.
