Obituary: Raymond N. Rousseau, 88

DRACUT, MA - Raymond N. Rousseau, 88, died unexpectedly while traveling in North Carolina on Wednesday, January 2nd. He was the beloved husband of the late Olive E. (Newcomb) Rousseau with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Raymond was born in Lowell on July 14, 1930, a son of the late Fabiola (Fissette) and Joseph Rousseau. 

Raymond worked as a Brakeman for Amtrak, and was previously employed with Boston and Maine Railroad. Prior to this, he was a Dracut Special Police Officer for 30 years. 

In his free time, Raymond was a model train buff, passionate fisherman, and avid sports fan with the Patriots and Red Sox being his favorite teams. He also enjoyed collecting Hess and antique trucks. 

Raymond is survived and will be deeply missed by his children, Betty and her husband Peter Magown, and Kenneth and his wife Susan Rousseau all of Dracut; siblings, Lucien Rousseau and Doris Boisvert both of Dracut, Rose Kelley of Lowell, Joseph and his wife Eileen Rousseau of Orange, MA; granddaughters, Stephanie Rousseau of Dracut, Ashley and her husband Christopher Wahlgren of Lowell; great-grandson, Gavin Jace Wahlgren; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Jack Bates of Dracut and his dog, Lucy.

He was predeceased by his two sisters, Irene (Rousseau) April and Theresa L. (Rousseau) Croft.
