Oct 23, 2018 12:14AM ● By Bill Gilman

Dracut voters will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates for State Representative and State Senate, in back-to-back debates, Tuesday night at Harmony Hall.

26th MiddlesexDistrict State Rep, Colleen Garry, D-Dracut and her Republican challenger, Ray Leczynski, of Dracut, will debate for the second time in a week, starting at 6 p.m. The pair had debated at Tyngsborough Town Hall last week.

At 7 p.m., Republican Joe Espinola, of Dracut, and Democrat Barry Finegold, of Andover, will meet to debate for the first time in their race for the 2nd Essex-Middlesex Senate Seat. The seat is currently held by State Sen. Barbara L'Italien, who opted not to seek re-election to wage an unsuccessful bid for the Democratic nomination to Congress.

The district also includes the city of Lawrence and the town of Tewksbury.

The debates are open to the public. They will also be aired live on DATV Ch. 8 and on the Your Dracut Today Facebook page.
