VIDEO: Multiple Injuries Reported In Three-Car Accident On Route 110

 A three-car accident on Route 110 in Dracut, Wednesday afternoon, sent several people to the hospital, including one woman who sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident, which took place just after 4:30 p.m. It took place between Haverhill Street and Brigham Avenue, just past Sophia's Cafe and the Muddy River Convenience Store. A half-mile section of Route 110 was closed for about 90 minutes following the accident.
Vehicles involved in the crash included a Ford SUV, a Volkswagon coupe and a Ford sedan. As the vehicles were loaded onto tow trucks, it was clear that both air bags in the sedan had deployed.
Both the SUV and the sedan sustained heavy damage to the roofs and sides. Much of the damage to the coupe was to the front end.
According to Dracut Police, all those who were in the vehicles were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals. The precise total number of victims was not immediately available.
According to a repot published by the Lowell Sun, the driver of the SUV sustained life-threatening injuries, After being taken to Lowell General Hospital, she was taken by Med-Flight to a Boston area trauma center. Her condition was not immediately available.
