Election 2018: Audio Interview With Democratic State Senate Candidate Mike Armano

Jul 26, 2018 12:37PM ● By Bill Gilman

Mike Armano of Dracut, Democratic candidate for State Senate

Mike Armano, of Dracut, has already had two demanding and highly successful careers. Now, he is aiming for a third.
Armano and his wife are both attorneys and he is licensed to practice law in three states. But he gave up his private practice and has spent the last eight years as a firefighter in the city of Lawrence.
When state Sen. Barbara L'Italien announced she would be running for Congress, Armano threw his hat in the ring to run for the Democratic nomination in the 2nd Essex-Middlesex District. He is battling former Sen. Barry Finegold, of Andover, for the nomination, as Pavel Payano announced last week he is dropping out.
Touting strong connections to every community in the district (Tewksbury, Dracut, Lawrence and Andover) Armano believes he is well suited for the job.
Recently, Editor Bill Gilman sat down for a 1-on-1 interview with Armano. It can be heard below.
