She will be sharing the Acton space used by State Senator Jamie Eldridge’s re-election campaign. The two candidates and senate colleagues will now begin full coordination between their campaigns.
The office opening took place Sunday, July 15 at 11:00am at 130 Main Street in Acton. Eldridge announced his formal endorsement of Barbara L’Italien for Congress in June.
“I’m grateful for the continued outstanding support from my friend and fellow bold progressive Jamie Eldridge and his entire team. I look forward to sharing our space in Acton and building my momentum in this historic race,” said L’Italien. “I’ve been honored to work with Jamie on progressive policies important to both of us. I will be a leader who brings to Congress many of the ideas we’ve cooperated on in the Massachusetts Senate, like passing a carbon fee, advancing paid family leave, and finally moving towards a single-payer health care system.”
“Barbara has the strongest progressive track record in this race,” said Eldridge. “I’ve seen her take on the tough fights in the legislature, from marriage equality to health care to supporting immigrants to LGBTQ rights to protecting services for the elderly and disabled, and she does not flinch.”
