Obituary: Roger G. Dame, 76

DRACUT, MA - Roger G. Dame, 76, of Dracut, died unexpectedly, Saturday, June 30th, in his home. He was the beloved husband of Elsie "Judy" (Wheatley) Dame of whom he shared 51 years of marriage. 

Roger was born on September 23, 1941, a son of the late Florence (Lafortune) and Edward Dame. Roger enlisted in the Navy and served his country proudly for four years and later reenlisted with the Army reserves.

Roger worked as a Nurse for several local hospitals and nursing homes. 

In his free time he enjoyed wood working and being a disc jockey for weddings. 

In addition to his wife, Roger is survived and will be deeply missed by children, Helen and her husband John Theodore of Manchester, NH, Edward and his wife Katherine Dame of Pelham, NH, Deborah Dame of Dracut, Michael and his wife Tina Dame of Brunswick, OH, Kelly and her husband Kenneth Brown of Lowell; sister, Rita and her husband Raymond Larose of Lowell; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects THURSDAY, July 5th, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. His funeral service will be held at NOON from the funeral home. Burial in Oakland Cemetery, Dracut.
