Dracut, MA – Sabrina Heisey, a member of the Dracut School Committee and candidate to represent the people of Dracut and Tyngsborough in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, received an endorsement Alexandra Chandler. Chandler is a former Naval Intelligence Analyst and candidate to succeed Congresswoman Niki Tsongas. Chandler’s campaign released a statement encouraging her fellow candidates to “take a stand” by endorsing Heisey’s effort to replace State Representative Colleen Garry, who opposes LGBTQ+ equality.

Heisey said, “I am so honored to receive the support of Alexandra Chandler. Her courageous decision to be the first congressional candidate to endorse my candidacy is a wake-up call for Democrats to stand up and support the only advocate for LGBTQ+ equality in this race.” Heisey announced her candidacy to represent the Thirty-Sixth Middlesex District in the House of Representatives in February. The Democratic primary election will take place on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Voters can find their polling location by visiting WhereDoIVoteMA.com.
