Dracut, MA – Sabrina Heisey, a member of the Dracut School Committee and candidate
to represent the people of Dracut and Tyngsborough in the Massachusetts House of
Representatives, received an endorsement Alexandra Chandler. Chandler is a former
Naval Intelligence Analyst and candidate to succeed Congresswoman Niki Tsongas.
Chandler’s campaign released a statement encouraging her fellow candidates to “take a
stand” by endorsing Heisey’s effort to replace State Representative Colleen Garry, who
opposes LGBTQ+ equality.
Heisey said, “I am so honored to receive the support of Alexandra Chandler. Her
courageous decision to be the first congressional candidate to endorse my candidacy is
a wake-up call for Democrats to stand up and support the only advocate for LGBTQ+
equality in this race.” Heisey announced her candidacy to represent the Thirty-Sixth
Middlesex District in the House of Representatives in February. The Democratic primary
election will take place on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Voters can find their polling
