Stavros “Steve” Neofotistos
DRACUT - Mr. Stavros “Steve” Neofotistos, 89, passed away suddenly on Friday June 21st at St Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Steve was born on September 15, 1928 in Dracut, Massachusetts a son of the late Louis and Anna (Kleros) Neofotistos.
A lifelong resident of Dracut, Steve was educated through the Dracut school system. He worked on his family farm, Meadowbrook Dairy for many years and later owned and operated Pete’s Grain in Dracut.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell. He loved watching NASCAR racing, pro-wrestling and loved listening country music. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his children.
Predeceased by his sons, Peter and Nikitas Neofotistos, and his siblings, Paul, George, Constantine, Peter, Dr. Anthony, Socrates, Nicholas Neofotistos, and Mary Booras, Anastasia Neofotistos and Andronike Angelopoulos.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Angella (Mellious) Neofotistos, a daughter, Anna Neofotistos, a son, Louis Neofotistos, a brother, Christopher Neofotistos, two sister in laws, Anna Kolovos, Georgia Neofotistos; a brother in law, Charles Booras, his godson, Louis Neofotistos and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R.LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Monday June 25th from 4pm to 7pm. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, June 26th at 9am at the Funeral Home to be followed by a service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Holy Trinity Church, 62 Lewis St. Lowell, Ma. 01854.
