WESTFORD, MA — Former State Representative Geoff Hall of Westford has announced his strong support for State Senator Barbara L’Italien in the race for Congress in the Third District.
Hall formerly represented Ayer, Chelmsford, Harvard, and Littleton as well as Westford, all of which are in the Third Congressional District, during his nearly 20-year career as a state legislator. He also served as a longtime member of the Westford Board of Selectmen and on the Housing Authority. He formerly taught social studies at Chelmsford High School.
“Barbara is the best candidate in this race for Westford and all of Greater Lowell and the Nashoba Valley,” said Hall. “I saw firsthand how effective she is as an advocate for seniors, people with disabilities, and on issues like public education and protecting our environment. Right now, we need someone who knows how to be effective for her constituents on day one in Congress. Our next representative should be a qualified woman with real public service experience and leadership, and that’s clearly Barbara L’Italien.”
L’Italien and Hall served together in the state House of Representatives for six years.
“I am honored to have the support of Geoff Hall, a former teacher and outstanding state legislator. Geoff is deeply respected and well-known in the Westford area, and I know he’s someone who understands what our communities need in a Congresswoman. He also has been a champion for public education, an issue near and dear to my heart,” said L’Italien. “I look forward to fighting as hard for Westford, the Nashoba Valley, and Greater Lowell in Congress as he did as their state representative.”
