Obituary: George J. Paglieroni, 68

DRACUT, MA – George J. Paglieroni, 68, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 25th. He was the devoted husband of Irene E. (Camargo) Paglieroni with whom he shared thirty-eight years of marriage. 

George was born in Lowell on October 29, 1949 and was the son of the late George and Mary (McGrath) Paglieroni. He was a graduate of the former St. Joseph’s High School in Lowell and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Merrimack College. He was employed for thirty-six years as a Math Teacher for the Lawrence Public Schools and spent six years at the Notre Dame Academy in Lawrence. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed horse racing, reading, traveling, listening to music and keeping track of the stock market. George liked to walk around his neighborhood and often spent time outside relaxing. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler. A consummate family man he spent time coaching his children’s soccer teams. 

He was a communicant of St. Francis Parish of Dracut.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his four children, George Paglieroni of Dracut, Jennifer McNally and her husband, Bryan of Stowe, Michael Paglieroni of Methuen and Brandon Paglieroni of Dracut; four sisters, Carol Rodrigues of Maine, Jane Lavoie and her husband, Ronnie of Dracut, Mary Bradley and her partner, Paul Zalenski of Dracut and Linda Paglieroni also of Dracut. He also leaves many aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, May 30th from 4 – 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. with his Funeral Mass to follow at St. Francis Church in Dracut on THURSDAY, May 31st at 10:30 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury.
