Brian A. C. Jopson
He was born in Lowell on November 1, 1969, beloved son of Dawn M. (Adams) Jopson and the late Carlton A. Jopson. Brian graduated from from the Greater Lowell Technical High School in 1988 and attended the Wentworth Institute for Technology where he studied welding and received his associates degree in 2009.
He was employed as a carpenter and welder in the Lowell area for many years and worked for Duraflow since 2009. Among his many interests, Brian enjoyed working out, dirt bike riding, was an excellent marksman and studied martial arts. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother, Dawn M. Jopson and her companion, Victor Garabedian of Tyngsboro; his son, Retired Pvt. First Class Christopher R. A. Jopson of Dracut; his brothers, David Jopson, Sr. and his wife Melinda of York, ME, Glenn Jopson and his companion, Mary O'Rourke of Londonderry, NH and Steven Jopson and his companion, Marybeth Sullivan of Manchester, NH; his former wife, Lisa Felix Hodgson of Dracut; also many aunts and uncles including R. Darron and Donna Adams of Hudson, MA, Carla Clarke of York, ME and Dale and Bob Blauvelt of Florida; also several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Pvt. First Class Brian A. C. Jopson, II, U.S.M.C. and brother of the late Kelly D. Jopson.
ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Brian at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday, May 17 from 3 to 7pm. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7pm. Interment will be private at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
