(Editor's note: The following information was released by the campaign of State Rep. Colleen Garry.)

State Rep. Colleen M. Garry (D-Dracut, Tyngsborough) announced recently that she was able to amend the House Ways and Means Budget and obtained a $50,000 public safety grant for the Dracut Public Schools and a $50,000 public safety grant for the Tyngsborough Public Schools.
“I know that these funds will be put to good use to aid in making our schools safer for our children," said Garry. "It is unfortunate that our children even have to know about ALICE training and fighting back to an intruder. But this is the world we live in today. Very glad I could provide this additional funding to help to protect our children."
