Dolores A. (Fournier) Morrissette
Born in Lowell on January 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Alma Fournier. Dolores was raised in Lowell and graduated from the Vocation High School.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at the Heritage Nursing Center as a dietary aide and cook. She was previously employed at Lowell Shoe and Rollie Shoe in Lowell MA.
Dolores enjoyed crocheting, sewing, playing bingo, and doing cross word puzzles. She also enjoyed participating in all the activities that D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell had to offer. She loved collecting pictures of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by four daughters and a son, Pauline Knight and her husband, Michael of Tyngsboro, Susan O’Keefe and her husband, Mark Dussault of Dracut, Maureen Norman of Tyngsboro, Janine Daunais and her husband, Arty of Dracut and Robert Morrissette and his wife, Luiza of Dracut; her sister Simonne Skoczolek and her husband, Stanley of Chelmsford; nine grandchildren, Melissa and Melanie Knight, Anthony Lasa, Gerry and Christopher O’Keefe, Jason and Jamie Norman, Sergeant First Class Keith Killgren and Anthony Morrissette; six great grandchildren, Kenzie Knight, Dayanara Lasa, Anthony Lasa, Jr., Zach, Zoey and Zayn Killgren; a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Fournier; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Fournier.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to all the caring friends and staff at D’Youville Senior Care for everything they have done for Dolores over the years. The love and kindness shared by those close to Dolores is something that the family will forever appreciate.
ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Dolores at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St, Lowell on Sunday, April 8 from 4-7pm. Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to D’Youville Senior Care, Activities Dept. at 981 Varnum Ave, Lowell MA 01852.
