(Editor's Note: the following information was provided
by Dracut Town Hall.)
The Dracut Board of Health will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) event this spring for residents to safely dispose of their hazardous household products. The event will be held at the Department of Public Works Dillon Center at 833 Hildreth Street on Saturday, March 31, 2018 between the hours of 8AM and 12 noon.
The improper disposal of HHW can lead to water and air pollution, can
cause health and safety problems (e.g.for residents, firefighters) and can
add un-necessary municipal costs.
This is a highly regulated and expensive service for the Town so a user
fee is charged to help defray some of the cost. Additional information
about the event and a list of acceptable/ un-acceptable materials are
available by contacting the Board of Health at tel. # 978 453-8162.
Thank you for your assistance in making Dracut a great place to live.
