Costas A. "Chick" Dagoumas
LOWELL - Mr. Costas A. "Chick" Dagoumas, 90, died Feb. 15, 2018 at Lowell General following a period of declining health. For 55 years, he was the beloved husband of Gloria C. (Hebert) Dagoumas.
He was born in Lowell on Aug. 23, 1927, a son of the late John & Catherine (Papastathis) Dagoumas.
Chick served his country during World War II in the US Army. Upon his return he worked for the Government at Ft. Devens in Ayer for many years up until his retirement.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell and past-member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Lowell Lodge of Elks.
Chick was also a former member of the Lowell Musicians Union, and was known for being a drummer in the Lowell Greek Band "Merakia" for many years. He was also the drummer in the house band of former Speare House. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Besides his wife, Gloria, he is survived by his son, Gregory Dagoumas and his husband, Mark of High Point, NC; his daughter, Maria K. Dagoumas of Dracut; brother-in-law, Nicholas Kefaleas of Lowell; also many nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Christos, Andrew, Effie and Anna Dagoumas, Andronicki Mamula and Joyce Kefaleas.
ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell, on Wednesday morning, Feb. 21, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00noon. A funeral service will follow at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis St, Lowell, MA at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
