NWS Issues Winter Storm Warning For Merrimack Valley

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Merrimack Valley from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The front expected to roll across Massachusetts will bring a nasty mix of snow and sleet, changing over to sleet and freezing rain in the evening.
According to the NWS forecast, snow accumulation could be anywhere from 3 to 7 inches in the Merrimack Valley. Wind gusts will be as high as 20 MPH.
What is almost guaranteed is that icy road conditions will make the afternoon/evening commute treacherous.Here is the NWS forecast through Saturday:
Snow before 4pm, then snow and sleet. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 32. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 11pm, then a chance of snow between 11pm and 1am. Low around 21. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Sunny, with a high near 29. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.
A slight chance of snow after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
A chance of snow before 2pm, then a chance of rain between 2pm and 5pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
A chance of rain and snow before 8pm, then a chance of rain between 8pm and 10pm, then a chance of freezing rain after 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
