Pedestrian Med-flighted After Being Struck By Car

A pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday night, when he was struck by a vehicle near 77 Bouchard Ave.

The victim was treated at the scene by first responders and then was taken by MedFlight to a Boston area trauma center. His condition, as of Thursday afternoon, was not available.

According to Dracut Police, the accident took place around 6:45 p.m. The man was struck by an Audi Crossover. The driver, identified by Police only as a female, stopped immediately.

According to an article published by the Lowell Sun, a witness said the driver was in extreme emotional distress following the accident. According to the article, witnesses said the victim sustained visible head and face injuries.

The accident remains under investigation. No charges or citations were immediately issued.
