George R. Vermette
George was a lifelong resident of Lowell, born on February 17, 1951, a son of the late Marcel and Jeannette (Archambeault) Vermette.
He was currently employed as class A mechanic at UMass Lowell and the former HealthSouth for many years. He was previously employed as an a class A mechanic at Lowell General Hospital for 19 years.
George enjoyed fishing and was a big fan of NASCAR and the Boston Bruins.
Besides his loving wife, Nancy, he is survived by his three sons, George "Rob" Vermette, Jr. and his wife, Allison, of New Boston, NH, John Vermette and his wife, Laura, of Dracut, Steven Vermette and his companion, Bryanna Falardeau, of Lowell; three siblings, Therese Quinn and her husband, Thomas, of N. Chelmsford, Albert Vermette and his wife, Cheryl, of Pelham, NH, and Robert Vermette and his wife, Brenda, of Dracut; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Scarlette, Kyle and Amber Vermette; also many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Prayer Service on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 1PM at the Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. at www.donatenow.heart.org or to a charity of your own choice. Arrangements are in the care of the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell.
