Dracut and State Police are on the scene at a Sesame Street home, where a woman was discovered overnight with life-threatening injuries.
According to a statement released by the office of Middlesex District Attorney, officers responded to the home after dispatch received a 911 call just after midnight. The woman was later transported by Med-Flight to a Boston Hospital.
Her condition was not immediately known. The specific nature and cause of the injuries has not been released. Unconfirmed scanner broadcasts indicate the victim had sustained a severe stab wound to the leg.
A short time after the initial 911 call, Dispatch received a call reporting a single car crash at the intersection of Parker Road and Methuen Street. An initial investigation led police to believe that the driver of the vehicle had been coming from the Sesame Street residence. The information was later confirmed by the DA.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Neither Dracut Police nor the Middlesex DA have released the names of the victims involved, citing "the nature of the investigation."
Your Dracut Today will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
