12 Dracut High Students Advance To State DECA Competition

Dracut High's DECA team showed itself to be one of the best in the state, with an excellent performance at the District DECA competition at UMass-Lowell, earlier this week.
12 talented students placed well enough to advance to the DECA State competition in March.
DECA competitions can feature dozens of specific categories, which fall under the headings of Business Management Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism and Personal Financial Literacy.
Per Dracut High DECA, the following Dracut High students advanced to states. They are listed with their category and placing at the district competition.

Joanna Cavaliero and Ashley Gadue 6th place Travel and Tourism
Sam Havel 7th place Human Resources
Gabbie Brown 4th place Marketing Communications
Brooke Boermeester and Katherine Morissette 5th place
Kirstin Trouville 7th place Entrepreneurship
Divya Madhavaiya 5th place Entrepreneurship
Abdullah Mahmoud 6th place Automotive Service Marketing
Teerth Patel 3rd place Automotive Service Marketing
