Alexandra S. (Niedziela) Wojcik

Alexandra S. (Niedziela) Wojcik, 93, of Lowell, entered into eternal peace on January 7, 2018 at Wingate at Belvidere. Born on June 6, L924 in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Teofil and Katarzyna (Zimny) Niedziela. She was known as Sandy, however, to most of her friends.

After her graduation from Lowell High School as a Carney Medalist, she then graduated from Lowell Business and Secretarial College. Sandy went to work for the War Department at Ft. Devens. After marrying Stanley they became part owners of Sun-Dee Beverage which they operated for over L6 years. After the business closed she worked for the IRS in Andover as a Tax Examiner and spent over 20 years in Federal Service. After retiring from the lRS, Sandy worked at Community Teamwork Inc. (CIl) helping the less fortunate in the community.

One of her many pleasures in life was going dancing with her husband and enjoying a round of golf especially during their annual winter vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Sandy took pride in raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow up to become the successful adults they are today. Sandy was a member of the Polish America Vets Auxiliary, a Communicant of Holy Trinity Polish Church and the Ladies Sodality of Mary.

She is survived by her four children, Natalie Marek and her husband Stephen "Ed" of Coventry, Connecticut, Carol Lelacheur and her fiance Thomas Menezes of Lowell, Donna Rogers and her husband Vincent of North Chelmsford, and Mark Wojcik, and his former wife Lesley of Winchester. she also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Allison, Amanda, Andrew, Amy, Kimberly, Matthew and Anna along with 14 great grandchildren, Annalise, Audrey, Madeleine, Matthew, Jason, Michael, Samantha, Alexandra, Maxwell, Chase, Parker, Katelyn, Dylan and Emily.

Alexandra was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley to whom she was married for 68 years, and also siblings Stanley Niedziela, Helen Gutknecht, Theodore Niedziela, Mildred Brown, Katherine Guimond, Adele Kendrick, Gladys Dombrowski, and Sofia Niedziela.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Wingate for the loving and compassionate care that they
gave Alexandra on a daily basis in her struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
