Cheryl A. Sencabaugh (Bassing), age 49, of Dracut, MA, died on January 3, 2018, following a brief and unexpected illness.
Cheryl was the beloved wife and best friend of Wilmington Police Lieutenant Scott A. Sencabaugh, cherished daughter of Bud and Mary (Ippolito) Bassing, dear sister of Craig Bassing & wife Maria Chen of Philadelphia, PA, Lauren Bassing & wife Jackie Gardina of Ventura, CA, and Kerry Pepe & husband Stephen. Loving “Auntie” of Madelyn & Ian Bassing, Jeremy & Greg Sencabaugh and Kaitlynne & Jason McKenna. Daughter-in-law of Donald & the late Patricia Sencabaugh of Wilmington, sister-in-law of Stephen & Denise Sencabaugh of Tewksbury, Kristen & Michael McKenna and Michael Sencabaugh all of Wilmington. Cheryl is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Wednesday, January 10th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9th from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Making Strides of Boston, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
At the time of her death, Cheryl worked as a Regional Loss Prevention Manager for the TJX Company in Framingham and Marlborough.
