Victor Peter Ozana
Born in Dracut on August 21, 1930, the son of the late Victor W. and Helen J. (Szewczyk) Ozana, Vic grew up in the Centreville section of Lowell. He was married for 54 years to the former Marion (Mariana G.) Bettencourt, who died in 2004.
In his youth, Vic played baseball and was an avid bowler playing in leagues at St. Louis Circle, Wamesit, and the Rialto Lanes among others. Other than his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sports, especially golf, old movies and jigsaw puzzles were his passions.
A 1947 graduate of Lowell High School, Vic was a well-known carpenter in the greater Lowell area before moving to New Hampshire, where he continued in his trade until finally hanging up his hammer in 2013. To escape the New England ice and snow, he and Marion spent their winters in Fort Myers, FL, from 1981 until 2004.
Vic adored and is survived by his three sons, Russell V. Ozana and his husband Michael B. Melanson of Dracut, Scott D. Ozana and his wife Lisa M. (Grandchamp) of Raymond, NH, and Alan R. Ozana of Lowell, four beloved grandchildren, Kristin L. Doyle and her husband Brian of Pembroke, NH, Scott V. Ozana and his wife Sarah of Goffstown, NH, Cameron J. Ozana and Shauna N. Ozana, both of Lowell, and his precious five great grandchildren, Abigail, Jackson, Bradley, Evelyn and Harrison, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a wealth of dear friends. He was the brother of the late Helen J. Brickett.
