Claire was born in Lawrence in June, 1929, a daughter of the late George and Minnie (Savoy) Mercier, raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School. She had lived in Reading and Tewksbury the greater part of her life.
Prior to retirement, Claire worked along side of her husband as her partner, as a real estate agent for Century 21 Real Estate on Rogers Street in Lowell.
Claire was a weekly visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Center, where she enjoyed companionship, playing cards, and cribbage. At home, she enjoyed quiet time, reading and crossword puzzles.
She leaves two daughters, Cathy Moore and her husband Chris Gannon of Henniker, NH, and Sue Sullivan and her husband Thomas, with whom she shared a home in Tewksbury; three grandchildren, Benjamin Sullivan and Peter Sullivan of Tewksbury, and Leighanna Dumais and her husband Derek of Deering, NH; a sister, Betty Grady and her husband Robert of Cape Cod; her dearest friends, Ray and Daphney Charrette of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to VNA Hospice & Palliative Care in memory of Claire Perreault to support patient care at VNA Care, Fund Development, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180, Danvers, MA 01923 or via www.vnacare.org.
