Brenda Murphy Dolliver, 58

Brenda Murphy Dolliver, 58, a long time Dracut resident and educator, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 20, 2017.

Her smile lit up a room, her laugh was contagious, and she will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Brenda was also a friend of Bill W.

Born in Lowell, MA on September 10, 1959 a daughter of the late Thomas and Lorraine Murphy. Brenda attended Dracut Public Schools and earned her BA in Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and continued on to receive her Masters Degree in the Science of Counseling. She dedicated her professional life to serving the students of both the Lowell and Dracut Public School Systems. She had a tireless and selfless passion for helping her students and others in need. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a woman of extremely strong faith. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as skiing, running, and biking. She will be remembered for her compassion towards all, uncanny sense of humor, and insatiable laugh. She was truly an amazing soul.

Brenda was the cherished mother of two sons, Jake and Kyle Dolliver, with whom she proudly shared with her ex-husband of 26 years, John Dolliver Jr, of Dracut. She was also the devoted grandmother of her pride and joy, Peyton Dolliver. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon and Joe Smith of Florida, Thomas and Fran Murphy, Donna and Thomas Swerchesky, Maureen and David Crowther, Lorrie and Tom Kasilowski, all of Dracut, Lawrence Murphy of New Hampshire and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, December 27th, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. Her funeral will take place 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Rita’s Church, Mammoth Rd., Lowell on THURSDAY, December 28th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sister’s of Charity of Ottawa/Grey Nuns of the Cross payable to: Sister Cecile Cloutier, Bachand Hall, 267 Pawtucket Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
