Genevieve (Vallois)(Cote) Guimond
Genevieve (Vallois)(Cote) Guimond, age 88, of Lowell, died Nov. 10, 2017, at Northwood Nursing Home following a short illness. For 38 years, she was the beloved wife of Donald Guimond.
She was born in Torrington, CT on Oct. 20, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph & Alma (Gauthier) Vallois.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a home health aide with Lowell VNA. Previous to that, she owned & operated “Jenny’s Sub Shop” in Dracut for several years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert & Linda Cote of Dracut, Michael Cote of Tyngsborough, Kenneth Cote and JoAnn, of Hopkins, MI; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth & Frederick McLaughlin of Lowell, Rosemary & Andrew Stefanczak of Dracut; a brother, Henry Vallois; two sisters, Celine Roy and Leonie Moses; nine grandchildren, Tracy, Christopher, Bradford, Kelly, Mandy, Jenny, Lauren, Devin and David; also several great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Bernard, Theresa, Jeanne and Angeline; and widow of the late Armand Cote who died in 1969.
ARRANGEMENTS – were entrusted to the M.R. LAURIN & SON Funeral Home, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA.
