Janice M. (LaPan) McCarthy

Janice M. (LaPan) McCarthy, 56, of Dracut, MA passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late James C. LaPan and June B. (Harrower) LaPan of Lowell.

She was self-employed, working at a business she owned with her husband, Ronald McCarthy. She was a skilled dog groomer, often using her skills to groom the pets of friends and family. She is best remembered for her love of all animals, especially horses. She also loved to dance, spending time in her pool soaking up the sun and loved to cook, taking pleasure in feeding others. She will be remembered for her kindness to others, her smile and her laughter.

Janice is survived by her husband, Ronald J. McCarthy Jr. of Dracut, her sister Joanne (LaPan) Valdinocci and her husband Denis of Hudson, NH, her brother John LaPan and his wife Michelle of Lowell, MA, her aunt Carol Smith of Dracut, her uncle Frank LaPan and his wife Vivian of Lowell, MA, her mother-in-law Hugette McCarthy of Hudson, NH, her sister-in law Kim McCarty and Mark Celata of Tyngsboro and her sister-in-law Charlene Scalia and her husband Dave of Tyngsboro, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James P. LaPan and brother-in-law Daniel McCarthy.
