Officials have issued a Code Red Alert regarding sub-freezing temperatures expected this weekend:

The National Weather Service is predicting unseasonably low temperatures for Friday night into Saturday. Their forecast includes low temperatures and windy conditions leading to Wind Chill temperature predictions in the low single digits.
On the heels of the unseasonably warm temperatures that much of the state has experienced over the past week or so, many homes may be vulnerable to freezing pipes if necessary winterization steps have not been taken.
Please take a moment to ensure that your homes are properly prepared for this sudden change in temperature. Thank you.
