DRACUT, Mass. – The Seventh Annual Pink Links ‘Fore’ CanceCare kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Four Oaks Golf Club in Dracut. All funds raised support Lowell General Hospital’s TeamWalk for CancerCare.
The all-women’s charity golf tournament is a fun-filled day with surprises at many of the holes. Awards will be given to the top three low-scoring teams, the best-dressed foursome and the most uniquely decorated golf carts. Registration starts at 11 a.m., and the shotgun start goes off at noon.
Pink Links ‘Fore’ CancerCare was founded in 2011 by a group of local women who joined together to support breast cancer patients 14 years ago. In that time, they have raised thousands of dollars for TeamWalk.
TeamWalk for CancerCare
Since its inception in 2000, TeamWalk has raised more than $10 million to help over 25,000 cancer patients across Greater Lowell. TeamWalk (www.teamwalk.org) funds make a difference in the lives of today’s cancer patients by paying for medications, nutritional supplements, wigs and prostheses, support groups, skilled nursing visits, transportation, mini-grants, and supportive services to patients of all cancer types. Funds raised enable Lowell General Hospital to provide assistance, support, and services to help people feel better, build confidence and instill hope throughout their battle with cancer.
