Robert M. (Bob) Reno, 81 of Lowell, died at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017
Born Sept 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Harold and Alice (Cinq-Mars) Reno.
A professionally trained pianist, Bob’s first love was music, especially jazz. In his youth he played with the Johnny Lydon Orchestra and his band, the Collegiates, who played regularly on Block Island, RI.
He worked for Pellon Corporation and later DataCard as a Purchasing Agent until retiring in 1997.
In retirement Bob continued to play music locally and in Rhode Island. He was a talented woodworker/furniture maker and an avid gardener, cultivating and tending beautiful gardens at his home in Lowell.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean (McArdle) Reno, daughters Paula Rose and husband Neil of Derry, NH, Rhonda Reno, of Pine Lake, GA, son David Reno of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Nick and Alicia Rose, brother William (Bill) Reno and wife Virginia of New York, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately. Donations in his memory can be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to the M.R. Laurin & Son Funeral Home.
