Wresting Color From the Canvas: House Rule #13

Aug 17, 2017 10:48AM ● Published by Corey Starliper

  1. Earth is a school and daily life is our classroom

  2. Our teachers come in many forms

  3. We learn best through direct experience

  4. Failures are the stepping stones to success

  5. Lessons reappear until we learn them

  6. If we don’t learn the easy lessons, they get harder

  7. Consequences teach better than concepts

  8. Only action brings ideas to life

  9. We can control efforts, not outcomes

  10. Timing is everything

  11. What goes around comes around

  12. Little things can make a big difference

  13. Play to your strengths

Everyone on the planet has a strength that they can give back to the world. Individuals are not always born with a natural inclination toward the skill about which they feel most confident. Some realize that they may have a knack for it and develop it over time.

In most cases, our strengths and our passions are one and the same.

I wrote once in my blog--The Introvert Exposed: A Practical Approach to Spiritual Living-- that Nature doesn't make mistakes! Gnats gather just above the surface of the water because fish feed on them. Bait fish panic when a bass is in the area because bass are programmed to perceive movement as prey.

Everything is lock and key.

So it is no mistake that some of us are born with the gift of writing and others struggle with writing letters. It is no mistake that some of us are born with the gift of processing things in three dimensions--engineers--while many individuals cannot read blueprints (I cannot read blueprints).

Doing what we are meant to be doing affords us appreciation for our place in the Natural Order. This energy is pristine, inherently positive and extremely powerful when it comes to affecting the quantum field.  Without it, the most important parts of ourselves fall under an immense pressure meant to redirect us toward allowing our natural strengths and abilities to preside over the majority of our actions.

This degree of pressure is corrosive to our sanity.

Play to your strengths. It makes things a lot easier.

P.S: The interface will only let me post the last 10 hyperlinks to the House Rules series. If you missed anything, search the term "wresting" in the search bar in the upper right hand corner of your page to bring up a list of prior House Rules articles.
