Carole (Metropolis) Rodis
Carole (Metropolis) Rodis, a longtime resident of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chris C. Rodis, with whom she shared fifty years of marriage.
Carole was born in Lowell, MA, a daughter of the late James and Stella (Bilionis) Mitropoulos. She was educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Upon their marriage, Carole and Chris moved to Florida, living first in Miami then settling in Boca Raton for the past thirty nine years.
Carole was a lifelong member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, and was also an active member of St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton.
Besides her husband she is survived by a brother Richard Mitropoulos and his wife Mary Lou of Dracut, sisters-in-law Dyanne Mitropoulis of Chelmsford and Helen Patrick of Old Westbury, NY, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Carole was a sister to the late Georgia, Mary, Charles, Louis, Peter and Bessie Metropolis.
Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell, Fr. John Sarantos Way on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, the National Parkinson Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
