Androniki T. “Niki” (Theodorou) Vurgaropulos
Niki was born in Manchester, NH on November 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Reverend Theodore Theodorou and the late Aspasia (Annis) Theodorou. She was a graduate of Lowell Commercial College and worked for Merrimack County Courthouse as a court stenographer upon graduation. While raising her children, she worked at the Lowell Five Savings Bank as a teller. Niki was a long-time member of the Daughters of Penelope and enjoyed spending time with her friends, cooking elaborate holiday meals, reading and gardening. She was also a member of the Senior Club of Tyngsborough.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children: James and his wife Andrea of Tyngsborough and Anne Calcote and her husband Don of New Mexico; her sister Effie Makris of Concord, NH, five grandchildren: Mark, Lia, Adam, Cade, Trent, and; one great granddaughter Alexandra. Niki was preceded in death by her son, Theodore (Ted) Vurgaropulos.
Arrangements: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 6th, at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, Massachusetts. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, July 7th at 9 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell, MA.
