Roland was born in Lowell, MA on August 23, 1953, a son of the late Irene C. (Robert) and Raymond J. Tardiff. He was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Dracut High School.
For 30 years, Roland worked as a maintenance supervisor for Joan Fabric's in Lowell and more recently as a building maintenance supervisor for WNA in Chelmsford, where he was a hardworking and dedicated employee.
Roland was a former member of the local Lodge of Elks as well as a member of both Pelham Fish and Game and the Tyngsboro Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter and loved working outside in his yard. He was also a New England Patriots and Boston Bruins Fan.
