Obituary: Daniel P. Angelopoulos, 93

DANVERS- Mr. Daniel P. Angelopoulos, 93, passed away on Monday June 12th at the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers.
Dan was born on October 16, 1923 in Lowell, Massachusetts a son of the late Peter and Vasiliki (Vlassopoulos) Angelopoulos. Loving husband to the late Andronike (Neofotistos) Angelopoulos.
He was educated through the Lowell schools graduating from Lowell High School. He joined the Navy and served his country during World War II. Upon his return, he became a Lowell Police officer and served the City of Lowell for over forty years.
Dan owned and operated D. Angelis and Sons construction for many years in Dracut, MA. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.
He was pre-deceased by his sons, Louis and Peter Angelopoulos.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Andronike“Nickey” Angelopoulos, and his cousin, Fanny Metaxopoulos and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R.LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Wednesday morning June 14th from 8:30am to 9:30am. His funeral will follow with a service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Edson Cemetery.
