33 Articles On Tonight's Annual Town Meeting Warrant

the meeting will be called to order at 7:30 p.m. with 33 articles on the warrant for voters to debate and decide on.
Of those 33 articles, seven were placed on the warrant by Voters Petition. they include street acceptances, a modification to the Community Preservation Act property tax surcharge and three articles to rezone portions of Hampson Street from residential (R1) to Business (B3).
The other 26 by Town Manager Jim Duggan.
The warrant includes a proposal for a new Stormwater and Erosion Control By-Law, two articles pertaining to improvements on Arlington Street, as well as an article to declare the old Dracut Centre School as "surplus" property so it can be sold.
Spending items of note include money for equipment for the police and fire departments, as well as funds for the purchase of new LED streetlights.
