Elizabeth “Lisa” M. (Shaw) Scalley

Lisa Scalley 55 of Lawrence MA passed away May 27, 2017 surrounded by her family and loved ones after a courageous battle with a medical illness.

The daughter of Paul & Elizabeth Shaw (both deceased); she was born on March 19, 1962. She was a graduate of Dracut High School class of 1980, where she excelled in misc. sports including softball, field hockey, and track.

Lisa loved animals, relaxing at the beach and the beauty of the mountains. She traveled to Alaska with her mother fulfilling a life long dream. She was best known for her contagious laugh, giving soul, and kind heart. She always seemed to have the time to listen and laugh with others, despite her own physical challenges. A courageous personality, “hard hitter”, and “do it her own way” girl, never letting any challenge overpower her, and always getting up for the next fight, including her last on May 27, 2017. She was a true survivor, and an inspiring example of enjoying what is really important in life…!

Lisa was pre-deceased by her brother Michael P. Shaw. She is survived by her long time partner Felix Leonce , who was also her best friend, and displayed loving care and laughter during their voyage. She is also survived by her only son Shawn Scalley of Hudson NH, her oldest brother Capt. Paul W. Shaw II, his wife Joni of Rhode Island, her younger sister Colleen Demers, her husband Norman of Pelham NH, and many nephews/nieces including Benjamin and Nicholas Demers.

Memorial donations in memory of Lisa Scalley may be made to Nashua Special Olympics P.O Box 936 Pelham N.H 03076, of which her nephew Benjamin Demers is a multiple medal recipient/supporter.
